Reykjavík, Iceland, February 12th, 2026 – Margrét Grétarsdóttir Johnsen has joined Lucinity as HR Director, supporting the company’s continued expansion of managed financial crime compliance services across Europe and the Nordics.

Margrét brings more than ten years of experience in human resources and people management across industries including aviation, media and entertainment, and hospitality. Prior to joining Lucinity, she served as HR Director at PLAY Airlines. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in human resource management and work psychology. Her background includes working closely with leadership teams through organizational change and supporting companies as they scale operations.

In her role at Lucinity, Margrét will be responsible for shaping the organizational model required to support the company’s Agentic AML services. She will oversee both the strategic and operational aspects of the people and culture function, acting as a trusted partner to leaders and employees. Her focus areas include leadership development, establishing frameworks for performance and development, and fostering a fair and inclusive employee experience.

Lucinity is expanding its managed AML services, delivering AML and KYC operations under service-level agreements. The company’s model combines Agentic AI with human analysts, with governance retained by clients while Lucinity assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations. Services are delivered within clients’ existing infrastructure to support consistency, efficiency, and regulatory oversight.

“Margrét joins Lucinity at a point where we are taking on deeper operational responsibility for our clients,” said Daníel Pálmason, CEO and Co-Founder of Lucinity. “This shift places new demands on how we structure teams, define accountability, and develop leaders. Her experience is well suited to scaling Lucinity to support managed services for financial institutions.”
